About the Business
Shaun has owned Hodges Motor Works since 2001. He has a long history in motor sport - in particular motorcycle racing - and has raced at most of the UK circuits. In 2004 Shaun lost the use of his left arm in a serious accident at the Manx GP. At the time he didn't know if he was ever going to be able to ride again, but the racing bug couldn't be squashed so easily - he was back on a bike with in 6 months of the accident and competing in his first event 18 months later. Although the accident has put an end to his road racing career he has moved onto four wheels, and now rides a quad in competition edurance events, such as Hare and Hounds.
Shaun's hands on experience of racing gives him valuable experience in motorcycle race setup. The addition off the dyno facilities to the workshop in 2006 has enabled him to use this experience to the maximum service for his customers.
